InJew Thought — On Hope for the Living — by Pastor: Elder Wilfred Wilson

Greetings, my Beloved! We know that the Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh [Job 1:19] do not always go down well with the best of us at times, and God understands, when we, mothers and fathers, relatives and friends, ask ourselves why…? But if one ponders upon the terms, “giveth” and “taketh” his sorrows for that moment should be turned into joy, when he should have come to understand that: (1) when the Lord gives He does not tell us for how long we can have his gifts, for example, in the case of our love ones. But in taking back, however, what is rightly His, we do know for sure how long our saved love ones will be in eternity in His presence; and of course, with better company, if you please. Further, if we substitute the term “giveth” for the term “lent” in the said sentence above, we should soon come to the conscious realization that all we could every have in this world is temporal since they are just lent to us: and (2) furthermore, what we in the land of the living see as our lost, and feel the pain for, is actually gain — gain to God the Father, for a soul set free, as well as, gain for the saved love one who died in hope believing that His body would be miraculously changed into a glorous body and it would be resurrected at the last day; at the coming of Christ [Job 19: 25-27; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17]  when we allow the Holy Spirit to teach us the Word, it illuminates our life, and we can testify that it is reassuring, rewarding and refreshing. Let us give God Almighty, praise. Hallelujah! Births and deaths are according to the way of life.

Revelation Knowledge

If I should go deeper,  when the Spirit in every man, or spirit man, leaves its original position in the spirit world, [Ephesians i:3-6]  and comes to meet its appointment with each individualn, at conception in the womb, [Acts 17:24-27) that is a separation (“separation” hereinafter called “death”) by spirit man. Subsequently, before birth, the child died to the the mother’s womb, and was born into the wider womb, meaning the world at large; and, as such, to his/her family.  The new born adjusts to his mother, namely, mother earth, its conditions, and it systems as time goes by, and he continues his physical and spiritual journey through the guidance of his parents, and others, until he is eligible to seek and to “fish” for himself…. In spite of his gains or losses, at the end of the day, when it is time to meet his appointment with death, “for it is appointed for man once to die….” lHebrews 9:27] So, male and female at some time will have to face the inevitable.                                               Red Flower Lily

At physical death there is a tripartite separation: (1) separation from the physical body, (2) separation from the surface of planet earth, and (3) possible separation from God, the Father, and life eternal, or everlasting life, if the person rejected Christ in his/her life time. Having said thus, if we believers, thought that there was hope in Christ on earth only we would have been men most miserable, but there is hope beyond the grave, for all who make their calling and election sure, in Christ Jesus. [1 Corinthian 15:19]

Hope for all

And for those who may have doubts about Christ and the life eternal [John 3:16-17) which He is offering all mankind: Christ Jesus is real. I urge you to have faith in God the Father; through Christ Jesus, His Son. [Matthew 16:17-18] The believer’s hope is in Christ Jesus’ resurrection. Our God Almighty is awesome!

Join with me in a sweet moment of praise to God, the Father, through Christ Jesus. Amen. Oh, praise the Lord, Hallelujah.

Beloved, let us thank God for the hope— the hope we have in Christ Jesus’ resurrection!  Let us give Yahweh praise as we ponder upon His provocative and mind-bugging affirmation,

“I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me though, he were dead yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.” [John11: 25, 1 Corinthians 15:50-58]

Let us raise our hands, and worship God the Father, through Christ Jesus, for the blessed hope we embrace. Our God is awesome. Amen.

May the God of peace richly bless you and your household, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Stay under the Blood of Jesus!

My Opinion on Lust and Love

Updated Wednesday, January 14, Heat Up, 2015

Welcome to InJew Nation in Christ Communiqué!              Wednesday, December 17, Stormy 2014:  In-Jew in Christ “History and Culture Development”   (Universal Church of Christ 7th Day Ministries, Inc.; (Guyana) :MOTTO: CHARITY, CHASTE CONDUCT, CHEERFULNESS, AND CHANGE – INWARDLY

Topic: My Opinion on Lust and Love

The deeds of the flesh working in our members are simply lust :

Man is dual personality, meaning that he is both a physical and a spirit being. In man there is a fallen nature, too. He inherited his fallen nature from his first parents, namely, Adam and Eve, who disobeyed God Almighty’s command and fell from His glory, according to the Word of God. This fallen nature in man comes short of the requirements, or standard mark of God Almighty, namely “His Righteousness.” And as a result, in its battle for dominance over the Spirit, the fallen nature rebels against God Almighty’s and His righteous principles in His Word. And due to the lack of knowledge, man becomes most vulnerable to the unrighteous desires of the fallen nature working in his members; and we see the manifestation of the animal in man through the deeds done in his flesh. These deeds of the flesh can be appropriately classified as “lust.”

What you need to know about lust

Lust is defined as: (1) strong sexual desire, (2) any passionate desire or enjoyment, and (3) sensuous appetite regarded as sinful. (The Oxford Popular English Dictionary) We live in a beautiful, wonderful natural world that declares the glory of God Almighty [Psalm 19], and there is no gainsaying about this. But there is another world of lust which needs to be understood, and this is what I am writing about in this my Opinion Post. My opinion post is based upon the Word of God so it is authentic and thus reliable. If I might define the term “lust” I should use the biblical command and definition of it, which should serve as an inspiration to you. It is found in the book of 1 John 2: 15-17 and it says, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” Unlike the natural world which still stands out as an expression of His glory:  and is in perfect harmony with all of God Almighty’s creation; the invisible inner world of lust in man, is in opposition to the Father; and His Holy Spirit within man, as well as, His divine principles man must adhere to in order to establish and maintain a right relationship with the Heavenly Father. Therefore lust of the flesh is the number one contender against the will and purpose of God Almighty, for man. Lust in its initial stage starts from the things we see, hear, smell, taste and feel, and eventually become attracted to them either at first sight or as times goes by. Yes, people, places, animals, and things do appeal to our five senses at times, but if we pray and ask God Almighty to lead us out of that particular temptation when tempted He certainly will. The bottom line is that no man can escape being tempted, but God has given man power to overcome it in Jesus’ name. However, God Almighty is no dictator, and as such, He has given every man his own free will and the power to choose, but He also made man aware that choices have serious consequences. For example, there will come a day when “God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ….” [11 Corinthians 2:16]

Why one should not love the World and its lusts

In our InJew Culture in Christ, we are not permitted to love the world neither the things that are of it because God Almighty in His infinite wisdom says so through His Word. Thus if one fails to adhere to the heavenly Father’s command, and instead, choose to love the world, then it is ample proof that the love of the heavenly Father is not in him. And if the love of God Almighty is not in him/her, then he/she is obsessed with the love of world, and temporal things pertaining to it. One’s choice on one of the two options would certainly  prove if he/she is loyal and committed to serving God Almighty or not. It is as simply as this. God Almighty will judge every man for what he has done in his own body, and choosing lust has serious consequences in any and all kind of relationships. Lust is that strong desire that we tend to follow and fulfill even by looking at an object and having a strong desire to have it, him, or her, for example, a vehicle, a woman, a man,  a gorgeous outfit, other, just to mention a few. Lust has become a modern day societal norm, especially because of the fact that the love of God Almighty (Jehovah or Yahweh) has become waxed cold in the hearts of men and women. And multitudes of men and women who have allowed it, or gave lust the right of way in their daily life and lifestyle have suffered severely by it in their life time. And unlike some who have reached a point of no return, multitudes of others have been returning back to God Almighty, who is always there to receive such ones with open arms, and showering them with His unconditional love, as they surrender their whole being with its lust to Him, by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. Please do not get me wrong, God Almighty wants His people who serve Him to be rich, to walk in His abundance, but instead of lusting and chasing after riches of this world, He says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. [Matthew 6:33] So poverty is a curse, and poverty is not associated with Yahweh, our God Almighty. To get rid of poverty, we believers need to allow God to change our mind set.

Lust has become the order of the day

Lust has become the order of the day and we see it in its many forms in our modern day societies. It is manifested through the actors in their various roles at theaters; super stars in movies; clubs; night spots; in the videos promoted by entertainment industry; and in magazines, portable storage devices, such as CDs and DVDs, other electronic media, and by some adults and young people in the streets. Lust In my opinion is a major contributing factor to the increasing ills in our societies, for example, corruptions, left, right, and center by officials who hold key positions in the public and the private sectors right down to those at the grass-root level. It starts from the highest to the lowest order i.e., from stealing of public funds; trafficking illegal drug;  human, and human body parts trafficking; fixed deals to win matches in sports, to those petty shop lifters; and the chain snatchers in the streets. What else if not lust, caused the young man who ingested two pounds of cocaine and was caught at an international airport recently?

The point of no return

Lust due to the love of the pride of life, has caused many a man in his attempt to gain the whole world, perhaps in a day, to lose his soul. The get rich syndrome has driven some to the extreme where they worship the creature, rather than the Creator, who made them. Thus because of this lustful obsession by some, the thought of God is extinct from their minds and their thoughts; and from this point onwards the real danger lies ahead. It lies ahead since their lustful passion intensifies and they are transformed into human monsters, who would move anything or anyone out of their way to get what they want. These monsters of ingratitude will go to the extreme where they would kill their own parents and love ones to get their wealth. But what shall it profit a man to gain the whole world, and loose his soul? What shall a man give in exchange for his soul? These biblical principles are so true and right and they appeal to man’s conscience, that if not smeared with a hot iron, as it were, he would stop in his tracks, re-examine his life and lustful motives and perhaps redeem himself by the grace of God Almighty, just in time before he destroys himself.

Lust drove a man to mingle with the dead

Lust is limited to one’s lifetime. And his world of lust passes away with him when he, (that particular person) passes away. But what is it that the man, who has lived his lifetime accumulating the things he has been lusting after, carries with him when he dies? I have attended funerals and even bury the dead; and have not seen any of them taking their possessions with them, save a piece of jewelry or two. And what good would that be to them anyway? The incredible, but true thing about lust is to view the scene on television; or read about it in the news, where the person who was buried with his/her jewelry was robbed of them and their body dumped in the burial ground. Lust has no limits; it is incredible true that about five years ago a man, who had always lusted after a young woman, who never took him on, attended her funeral and returned to the scene, sometime during the night, took her body out from the tomb and had sex with the dead. The police on arriving on the scene caught him with the dead woman and when asked what he had to say, he said, “Offica a din get sh wen she bin alive, but a get sh when sh dead.” He was arrested and put in the lock ups; and subsequently taken to the observation ward of a hospital before charges were made. I do not know what happened afterwards even though I was interested in hearing the outcome of that story. However, in my opinion he was not mad, he was obsessed with a spirit of lust.

The opposite of lust is love without conditions

In our InJew culture in Christ, the word of God is our rule and practice, especially the New Testament. I am not perfect, but I am seeking perfection by the grace of God Almighty Jehovah (Yahweh His Hebrew name), through Christ Jesus. Instead of “lust” which is against His will for my life;” I choose the “love” of God Almighty because through the Word of God, I receive the assurance that if I fulfill the will of God Almighty for my life: I will stand with the righteous on the Day of Judgment and beyond.

My link to full post : https://blessupebookstore.wordpress.com/2015/01/13/but-there-is-another-world-of-lust-which-needs-to-be-understood-and-this-is-what-i-am-writing-about-in-this-my-opinion-post-my-opinion-post-is-based-upon-the-word-of-god-so-it-is-authentic-and-thus/

And this Word gives me a sense of value to distinguish “lust” from God’s true, pure and unconditional love. Also, the Word “he that doeth the will of God, abideth for ever” gives me a sense of belonging, identity, a sense of purpose for living and for loving others with the love of God Almighty— the merciful, the compassionate, the forgiving, and the faithful One. To Him be praise.

I just ran into the link below, and thought that it my be of great help to someone, who wants to know the difference between “lust” and “love,” and are ready to act on his or her uncomfortable situation…. I pray that you will find it a source of great help. Please remember that you can do all things through Christ who gives you the strength. Amen.

Emotional Freedom

How to liberate yourself from negative emotions and create a positive life.

Lust vs Love

Love the Unlovable with God’s Love: it’s Easy

kaieteur_falls_429543 Guyana’s Kaieteur Falls

God’s Love is the only true love; and as the mighty Kaieteur Falls among the other falls, it stands out among all other love.

As part of our InJew Culture in Christ Jesus, we obey a distinct and unequivocal (clear) order or command of the Creator and Most High God, that is, all people of faith in Christ Jesus love not only Him, and one another, but also, our neighbor; in this case, say, the person next door. [Deuteronomy 6:4; I John 4:7; Matthew 22:37- 40] But you may ask yourself, “How can I like a person who has hurt and embarrassed me not even once, but several times, or perhaps any enemy who has been a ‘pain in my neck’ for several years now, much less to love that person.

About God’s Love

Unlike most, who think that their love for others must be intimate and erotic: God Almighty’s love is unique in that it is unilateral, (one sided) and has nothing to do with his likes or dislikes about a person. This is actually God’s love and it is known as AGAPE love. Unlike man’s love in the natural or the emotional ways man loves his fellowmen, God’s love is definitely supernatural, and rightly so, because He is supernatural. And God’s love was, is, and will always be the same in every Epoch to come. This is why in our modern day societies, His love is relevant. God the Father is still merciful and forgiving to all mankind, and He is with open arms reaching out to all who would come humbly to Him for help. Interestingly, in spite man’s short comings, God Almighty commanded that believers must love Him, as well as,  and themselves. [Deuteronomy 6: 4] In Matthew 22:37- 40 Jesus the Christ confirmed His Father’s command whe He told the inquiring Pharisees thus, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. this is the first great commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”This is possible because believers in Christ can access the love of God Almighty, knowing that it can be released by the Holy Spirit who indwells the believers. If you are a backslider, or one who never accepted Christ Jesus as   your Lord and Savior, but acknowledge that you are a God loves yousinner, who needs a Savior because you want to be saved and to receive God’s Holy Spirit within you; don’t despair. Please follow the seven steps below:-

Seven Steps to ensure you are saved and to Holy Spirit within you

  • First, remember that God’s love is released by His Holy Spirit only, and  does not have whom to like, or to dislike
  • Second, Know that to have access to God’s love, the Holy Spirit must dwell within you
  • Third, for the Holy Spirit to dwell within you, you must voluntarily repent of your sins, ask God to forgive you of your sins, and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness through the blood of   Jesus, [1 John 7:-10]
  • Fourth, invite Christ into your heart and life, by faith : You may say, Jehovah, my heavenly Father, I come before your presence believing that I am a sinner, who need a savior because  I cannot save myself. I repent of my sins, and I ask you to forgive me my sins. By faith, I invite Christ into my life. Come into my heart and life Christ Jesus, save me, and live my life for yourself. I surrender my all to you. Grant it Holy Father, In Jesus’ name. Amen.
  • Fifth, know that when you invite Christ into your life, you also receive the Holy Spirit automatically
  • Sixth, know that Holy Spirit has one fruit divided into nine parts of which the first part is love, [ Galatians 5: 22-24], and
  • Seventh, as you read, pray and study the Word of God , you will experience the love of God more and more if you follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Understand the term following the leading of the Holy Spirit

In Galatians 5: 17-26, we read about the battle within man, that is, between his flesh and the Spirit, so much so, that he (degenerated man) is hindered from doing the things that he wants to do. But if you relate this condition to your own experience, you will do all things through Christ who gives you the strength to do so. This is why you must put your total dependence upon God Almighty, through Jesus Christ, to lead you to the next level, and the next, as you read, study and apply Galatians 5: 19-21 to your life. It is all up to you. Are you ready? Let us get ready to “Rambo” in Jesus’ name. It is a fact, a biblical fact that these sins mentioned in Galatians 5: verses 19 to 21 stem from the fallen nature in man, and that this fallen nature is the root cause of sins working and manifesting themselves in our members. So we have desires and yield to them as well. But if we follow the leading of the Spirit of God within the context of Galatians 5:19-21, we will soon understand that the greatest battle on earth that is currently taking place is in none other part of the Globe, but that part of our inner world 24/7 per individual on a daily basis. It is a bitter battle between the flesh, or man’s lower nature, and the Spirit of God; who has Jehovah’s divine nature and strongly apposes the fleshly lust in the believer, so he cannot do as he well pleases without being convicted by Him (the Holy Spirit).

I urge you to walk in the Spirit that you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. [Galatians 5:1]

Understand through the scriptures that man has a lower nature, also known as the fallen nature, or the Adamic nature. This fallen nature has desires which are totally against the Sprit of God Almighty, within man, and the manifestation of it, is seen in the various behavioral patterns of people in every stratum of society, worldwide. I would list them shortly, but I cannot at this time provide you with a full explanation of each, for this is beyond the scope of this instructional post. I urge you to walk in the Spirit that you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  Renounce these (lusts) where applicable in your life now, in the name of Jesus, and instead, walk in the Spirit that you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Stay under the blood of Jesus, by faith, it will cleanse you and make you whole. Below, are the manifestations of some desires of the flesh clearly spelt out in Galatians Chapter 5: 19-21, termed “works of the flesh.” Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (lust), idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, (disagreeing) emulations (jealousy), wrath, strife, seditions, (divisions), heresies (opinions contrary to the Word of God), envying, murders, drunkenness, and revellings (ungodly merry makings) etc.

The Spirit of God Almighty as restrainer and character builder

Interestingly, the Spirit of God in the believer acts as the restrainer to the above mentioned desires of his flesh, and thus restrains the believer in Christ from such indulgences. He also convicts him/her of righteousness and judgment to come [John 16:8], and with no little conviction if the believer sins against Him (the Spirit of God). You may now understand why the believer “cannot do the things according to his will,” as a result of this constant tug-o-war between “flesh” and “Spirit” within him/her. The Spirit of God Almighty develops character in men and women, even in those who did not have any moral or ethical values and self respect at one time in their lives. He does not only builds character in us believing men and women, but also, empowers us for service. And sends us out as role models and living examples to God Almighty’s saving grace and keeping power through Christ Jesus; and, as well as, His “burning and shining lights;” in the midst of this present dark world of  sin, wickedness,  and in this rebellious generation to win some (including the unlovable) to Christ;  through His love, His Word, Effective fervent Prayer, Daily Lifestyle and Faith in Christ Jesus. As the believer in Christ, let us reach the unlovable with the love of God Almighty. The unlovable have a right to know and understand God Almighty’s love, too, but how would unlovable men and women know it, if they are shunned? How can God Almighty build character in the unlovable, if believers act like the unlovable? Certainly, if some among the unlovable humble themselves before God Almighty, believe the Word of God, and yield themselves to the leading of the Holy Spirit,  they too should be delivered: and further, manifest such characteristic traits, and graces of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, as mentioned below:-

The Walk and the Fruit of the Holy Spirit

The fruit of the Holy Spirit is: —love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self control. It is only one fruit, but it is divided into nine parts. The onus is now  the reader’s,  to choose either to be lead by his/her own fleshly desires and works of the flesh, or, instead,  choose and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, through whom God’s love is released.

That you follow the leading of God Almighty’s Holy Spirit, is my earnest prayer on your behalf. May God richly bless you. Amen.

Stay under the Blood of Jesus!

Welcome to InJew Nation in Christ Communiqué! Wednesday, December 05, Stormy 2014: InJew iNation in Christ “History and Culture Development”   (Universal Church of Christ 7th Day Ministries, Inc.; (Guyana)

Greetings: Recently I ran into a young lady by the name of Narsa, who has been working tirelessly for the past five years selling stuff for both women and men, and I held an interview both face to face and by telephone with her. Please see interview blow:-

A pleasant good morning to you young lady, my name is Wilfred and I would like to have an interview with you if you would not mind.

“Why would you want to interview me?”

She asked, in a soft tone of voice. And as she looked up, our eyes made contact, and I said to her,

“I am very much interested in your story and I would like to publish it.”

“Publish it! Who would be interested in hearing my story? I am a single parent and my story is about hard ‘wuk;’ and coming out here every day ‘fuh’ five years in ‘duh’ rain and ‘duh’ hot sun to make a living and to make ‘ends meet ain’t’ easy. Who want fuh hear bout hard wuk and hard life dese days fuh G$10,000- $15,000 a week.?”

What do you sell, Nersa?

I sell mostly women clothing, and makeup kits, and some jerseys for men.

Nersa, I can assure you that there are lots of people out there who would love to hear your story and they would be touched, and even encouraged by it. Think about this, for example, the many people who have launched into similar ventures like you, and perhaps longer than you, and especially those single parents like you, who have just started to sell on the street. I was still looking at her while I waited to hear her decision when she said,

“Well if you ‘seh suh,’ it’s ok with me.”

Would you like to tell me about yourself?

“Well, my name is Nersa, and I am thirty one years old. I was born and grew up in Meadow Bank on the East Bank of Demerara. But I was born an unwanted child, you see. I say so because my father told my mother that I was not his child when I was born, and he shunned me, and never supported me. I heard this when family and friends would talk about it, and even thou I was small, yet I had good sense when I was about eight years old: but they did not know this, let alone to think that I understood exactly what  they were saying about me. I had to live with this feeling of rejection from my father, and unto now I have not overcome it fully. The reason why is because I know he is my father and I love him.

Growing up knowing that my father rejected me was painful and still is, and it hindered me from moving on in my life in many ways. It was the main reason why from about eight years old I kept myself to myself and did not want to play much with my two brothers and five sisters even though I loved them. In my heart I really wanted to play with them, but the feeling that my father disowned me always comes to mind, and I found it hard to laugh out, and be happy and free as they , so I would find a place in the house or the yard where I could be all by myself.”

In what other ways Nersa?

“I hardly played at school, and preferred to be by myself. Also I did not focus on my school work all the time because my mind would wander away from the class room for a while and come back again, after an empty gaze, seeing and hearing nothing strange; except when I would hear my teacher say, ‘Nersa, come up in front, I do not want you to sit at the back.’ Then I would say, yes Sir. However, my grades dropped eventually as my school work became harder, and even though I tried hard to keep my previous high grades I was accustomed to having, yet I could not make them anymore. So my performance at school dropped too, and that was added to my list of bad experiences and woes. I became fed up at times and would cry quietly without being noticed and especially at nights when I retired to bed. I asked myself hundreds of times why me Lord, as the tears kept flowing from my eyes as a young girl then, and even now as a adult with responsibility.

I finally left school in form 5 at age seventeen without writing my CXC examination, because that was the age where you leave school if you made no particular progress. However, before I left school, I attended my school’s attachment program and studied Cosmetology.  And after I left school, that is, St, George’s High, I attended an institute where I did courses in floral decorations, and handcraft. I use these skills to make money also.

Could you remember any good times you had growing up, Nersa?

Yes, my father and my mother did not live together, therefore growing up was kind of hard, but God provided for us each day. However, things changed a little when my stepfather met my mother and that was when I was about twelve years old. My stepfather, who is currently married to my mother, had lived home with her at first, treated us well, and I appreciated him a lot, but that did not change my thinking or healed my inner hurts completely. A good time for me also was when I was helping my mother in the kitchen. I always loved to help my mother in the kitchen because she spent most of her time working there, and I thought she need an extra helping hand. Also I wanted to learn to cook and to clean the way she did.  She used to cook food and make pastries to sell, and also according to special orders she would received as well. So by helping her I learned to cook almost anything.

What really went wrong at eighteen years old?

“But how you getting me to talk so much, this woman don’t like to talk out ‘sh’ (her) business, however as a gone so far I will continue. At age eighteen that was in 2001, I was overcoming my childhood experience about my father, when I met my first boyfriend, who was nineteen years old. He was born in my hometown and grew up there, but spent some years in the United States of America before returning to Guyana on vacation. Our relationship lasted for one year, that was the whole of 2002, and during that time I had my first ever affairs with a man, and the second time around I became pregnant. During that one year period he returned to the USA, but came back in September of that year, and when I told him that I was pregnant, he said the same thing that my father told my mother about me. He said that the child was not his. So that made the two of us, mother and daughter to be rejected by their fathers. He never supported her and to this date he shuns her. What he said to me woke up every pain in me again, and I started to cry out again not only why me, but why her also. I would like to add though, that his mother who lives abroad saw the child and acknowledge her as her granddaughter, and never stopped sending things for her.

Is your daughter aware of her father’s attitude towards her.

Yes, but even though I never told her anything yet she knows. It was not that I did not want to tell her, buy I was waiting for an opportunity to tell her at the right time. However, one day she said to me, mommy, I know who is my father, his name is so, so, so. And that was what left me a bit surprised for a while. I also know that she is taking it on. I know this because he was sent back home to Guyana from the USA, and he tried to make up back with me, so I said to him, after you put me in all that stress you want to make up back with me now? Not this woman. Look after your child and do not worry about me. As a result, he shuns her more, and she knows it. This was even noticeable at a function held recently, namely, her grandfather’s birth anniversary, and one where her grandfather insisted that my daughter must attend. So I decided that I would take her to the function just to please her grandfather, and at the same time to let her see some of her relatives. During the course of the evening my daughter’s father passed her as he walked up and down the hall, until it got overbearing where her grandfather was concerned. As a result, as his son passed again for the sixth time, her grandfather said , ‘Stop right here in front of me, I noticed that you have been passing this child all the time without say a word to her, say something to her now, she is your daughter. I am not concerned about the relationship between her mother and you.’  At that point he spoke with her for a while and after he was done, I did not ask her what he told her, but rather, told her grandfather that I was taking her home, and my daughter and I left, after I called for a taxi.

Presently my daughter is at school and not doing so well as before, but I keep praying that she would improve, especially since her examination is just around the corner. This is why I am doing my part to help her as much as possible.

What advice would you like to give to adults and young people?

What advise can I give? I would say to them that life is unpredictable. Sometimes you are not directly responsible for the way life faces you, but you must try to make the best out of a bad situation, and you can do this with the help of God Almighty.

Thank you, Nersa, it was a pleasure speaking with you.

Further that through education and training, at all levels crime rates and other ills in today’s societies would decrease significantly, poverty would be alleviated, and people would be able to live and work together in a much more comfortable, safe, peaceful and friendly environment. Interestingly, with less pressure on the economy, there should be signs of economic growth and development with a given period of time.

Your opportunity

Also with other things being well, foreign investors would always have vacancies to be filled at all levels in their business enterprises, and especially for persons who can manage their high level electronic equipment; and this would be to advantage of those who have been upgrading their acadamic and technical skills.

TOPIC: Our Daily Bread

Topic: Our Daily Bread

The term “Bread” as used by Jesus Christ, has become part of our InJew Culture

In the Lord’s prayer, Jesus taught his disciples to pray “give us this day our daily bread.” [Matthew 6:11] A clearer understanding of this scripture can be had by Jesus’ use of the term “bread” in Matthew 4: 4, which tells us how He resisted the temptation of the “devil” after he challenged Him to command stones to be made into bread. Thus for example, in His response to  the “devil’s” subtle attack, Jesus quoted an appropriate scripture in such a simple, but most effective way which is much to be admired. Jesus said to the devil in no uncertain terms,  “It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” [Matthew 4: 4, KJV] Jesus’ use of, or reference to, the terms “Bread” and “Word” in Matthew 4: 4 clearly points out its double meaning..

The double meaning of the term “Bread”

In the above mentioned term, “Bread,” Jesus referred to  it as: (1) Physical bread for the sustenance, and care and protection of the physical man, the body; and (2) Spiritual bread, the Word of God which is appropriate for the spirit man. The former is physical and is made of wheat flour and other ingredients, after they have been thoroughly mixed and baked in an oven: while the latter, is the spiritual “bread” which is the incorruptible Word of God [1 Peter 1:23] Bread can be used in a broader physical sense within the context of the said scripture, and could include the basic necessities of life, namely food, clothes, a proper shelter/house, and every thing for the social well being of man, in order to relate it to our advance societies today. This broader meaning can be draw out from the divine principle which teaches man the methodology of receiving his daily bread, this is, “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread.” [Genesis 3:19] In other words, God guarentees our material needs through His divine principle, which requires that man do honest work to acquire his food and the basic necessities of life. And of course man has his free will to make choices:

A crucial point in Jesus’ life and how He overcame the Tempter

The term “bread” was used at a crucial, but most appropriate time when Jesus would have been weak in His physical body, after fasting for forty days and forty nights. And there is no gainsaying,  that someone who would have gone that long without food would not be hungry. The very scripture supports this fact. It says, “And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterward a hungered.” [Matthew 4:2] It was at that very moment when His hunger pains would have started to act up in His belly, that the “devil” approached Him to fullfil  the very purpose Jesus was “led up of the Spirit into the wilderness,” namely, “to be tempted of the devil.” It was at that split second when the devil tried to influence and to infiltrate Jesus’ mind to make Him obey his own desire for food; and further, to perform a miracle to satisfy that desire: when Jesus, applied the appropriate Word and said to the tempter, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” And that was howJesus Christ resisted the devil and to remain loyal to God, His heavenly Father.

Jesus the Bread of Life

Thus from the lesson learnt from the above mentioned paragraph, by following Jesus our example, man ought to be equipped and be ready with the Word of God to defeat the purpose of the devil, who is also referred to in the scriptures as a thief. The scriptures say, “The thief cometh not , but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” I am come that they might have life , and that they might have it more abundantly. [John 10: 10] Jesus is the Bread of life, the scriptures say, “I am the Bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst,” [John 6: 35]

In contrast to the devil, Jesus’ purpose here on earth is wrapped up in the scripture which says, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” [John 10:10] Choose the abundant life in Christ Jesus, and do not allow the devil to snach it —His offer and gift of abundant life, from you.

Knowledge for power and to fulfill one’s divine purpose

The Acknowledged term “Bread” used by the devil : and by Jesus the Christ, is important to all mankind in that it gives us an understanding of how to manage our daily bread, and knowledge that there should be a balance between the material  and the spiritual bread. As a result, it gives the informed man a new outlook to life on the level of the spirit. And it guides him in all his decision making ways during his journey here on earth. And susequently, on his departure through a vehicle known as death, to his destiny on a higher spiritual plane; one which Yahweh/Jehovah approves. I close with a promise and scripture that Jesus left man before He departed this physical earth plane.

A promise left us

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” [John 14: 1-3]

If and when you are tempted again, you should know what strategy a to apply, as led by the Spirit of God. Stay bless up in Christ Jesus. Peace.
